Ashley

My role at Ashley was about changing the world's perspective about the furniture store. Because she wasn't your grandmother's furniture store anymore.

My experience at Ashley was filled with so many one in a lifetime experiences that I wouldn't trade for the world. In my role as the Manager of Organic Social Media + Content, my main responsibility was the look and feel of the brand on all paid and organic social channels. In my time in this role, I led the growth on all @ashleyofficial channels. Most notably growing the Instagram channel by 250K followers by leveraging both paid and organic outlets. I also created a new process for organizing and managing content, revamped all paid social creative, and launched @ashleyofficial on TikTok (more on this in the Video Creation section 😉).

But first, make it gorgeous ✨

One of the first things I had to address was the lack of variety when it came to content. The content was bland, boring and brown. It looked like we were stuck in a 90s catalog. We had very little resources with very unappealing and outdated imagery to choose from. By pushing leadership to update our social media tools we were able to improve UGC collection and streamline our Influencer selection process. Then I implemented a new process with the creative team to ensure we would have influence and access to catalog and commercial shoots. I partnered with the CGI team and began testing new types of imagery on social.

Reworking those pretty little squares.

During my short time at Ashley, I was able to completely change our social presence from showcasing strictly farmhouse, brown and no humans to showcase the variety of products and furniture styles we sold and the diversity of our customer base.

Pinterest Predicts that these pins are going to perform AMAZING!

Pinterest was a DISASTER before I got my hands on it. I'm talking the only thing there was sad pins of pillows and nothing else. My mission was to breathe life into our channel. We needed to create the inspiring content people wanted to pin. By partnering with Pinterest and utilizing the new content coming in, I was able to increase our monthly views by 150% YOY and double our followers in less than a year.
